Comfort food really isn't.

I don't get comfort food. It doesn't make sense to me.

As far as I can work out, you feel awful so have chocolate/ice cream/fill in favourite food. Which is supposed to make you feel better. But surely you can't feel better cos you've eaten really unhealthy rubbish. So you now feel just as awful as before and worse because you feel fat too.

Am I missing something?

115 pass!

Wow!!!

I actually passed!!!

My flute exam!!!

Wow!!!

Yey!!!

My piano teacher texted me today telling me she'd got the results (yes my piano teacher, I do flute in my piano lessons lol) and I've got 115 which means I passed!!!

If I remember right I think it's a really low pass but considering I honestly wouldn't have been surprised if I'd failed, YEY!!!

Oh I'm so happy.

Bird List So Far...

My list of birds which I've had in my garden that make Dad so jealous he wants to shoot me (but he doesn't 'cos I'm cute and pretty).

1) Lesser Spotted Woodpecker

2) Kestrel (well possibly, it was behind a tree but I'm pretty sure)

3) Tree Creeper

Tee hee hee.

The rest! (I'm nearly done now, promise...)

Woke up Sunday morning when Lilly's parents said bye. Went to sleep. Woke up again later. Went to sleep. Woke up again later, thought 'um... hang on, weren't we gona go to that thing in the park today?? Ah well, too late now', went to sleep.

Like I said, not a morning person.

Anyway, eventually we both got up and organised some breakfast. Yeah it was lunch time but that's not the point!

I think the rest of Sunday consisted of... watching tv, going on MSN, watching tv, making lunch or tea or some meal of some sort (it was proper in case you're wondering, we had baked potatoes with salad and beans and sweetcorn and lots of cheese! I like cheese), watching tv and going on MSN. Oh and we played on the playstation for a bit too. Lol.

Monday morning, woke up when phone rang, went back to sleep, woke up later, went back to sleep, woke up later and thought 'I really have to get up'. Went back to sleep. Woke up later and actually got up, Lilly was still asleep so I went downstairs and cleared up the mess we made the day before. Considering I don't know her house I think I did pretty well.

Then Lilly got up and we went on MSN to ask people to go into town with us at somepoint. The next bus was at 1.15 (ahem... well it was about 11.30 when we got up and 12 by the time we checked the buses...) and we got a total of.... 0 people to go with us :D eventually we got Hannah to come with though. I'm still not sure if that's a good thing. She's mental. Ah well.

We went into town, looked around, sat in the park, came back to Li's house, went on MSN, dyed my hair, had a face mask thing (which apparently I was allergic to 'cos now my face went horrible and I'm ugly. 'Cept it's nearly better now.) and we went to bed. Quite lateish.

Got up on Tuesday about 12 (after the waking up, going to sleep, waking up... etc), went downstairs, stared a Li 'til she woke up (she was on the sofa for some reason), we cleared up the kitchen again and about 12.30 her parents came home. So we figured we ought to get dressed. And... yeah, that's it. Went home.

And... there ya go. My wonderful story now finished :D

Love from me :D xxx

The rest of Saturday!

Woohoo!!! Woke up again and it's still my birthday!!!

Ok, it wasn't quite like that.

Woke up to the noise of three small people messing around

Thoughts: 'What time is it? WHAT?!? 6.30?!? You're joking?! Zzzzz...'

And after that I woke up just about every 10 minutes when 1 of the following happened:

1) Someone dropped something on me.

2) Someone stood on me.

3) Eleanor hit me to get my attention so she could ask me if the cats have been fed. (How should I know?!?)

You get the idea.

Eventually mum came in the tent to wake me up (little people had left by now) and she told me everyone was having breakfast. I think I did quite well actually. I got to the front of the tent, got most of me out of the tent and collapsed on the grass. I'm not what you'd call a morning person. At some point, one of the breakfasters (they were eating outside) saw me and said, 'oh, Rosie's up.' Ahem... yeah...

So I lay there for a bit. Eleanor came over and said she'd jump on me if I didn't get up (then changed her mind and ran off). Then a few minutes later, Dan came and put a present on my head. So I shifted then. I managed about 5 minutes before the dreaded and far too familier call of... 'Rosie! Catch us!'

My loving response was somewhere along the lines of 'No chance! Get Dan to chase you!' Well it was far too early. Ish.

Ok I'm gona skip roughly through the day 'cos the rest isn't all that interesting until later.

I got dressed in my cool new skirt (black! Yey! I love black.) from Aunty Sarah and Uncle Will and mum's black top then decided to have a rainbow theme so wore my rainbow belt, rainbow earrings, rainbow bobbles in my hair and I painted my nails all rainbow colours. I also wore my ACE badge :D (Thank you Dad!!!).

Next interesting part... hm... Oh I rang Dad. Can't actually remember why but ah well. Oh yeah!!! To boast about the tree creeper I just saw in my garden :D :D :D Tee hee hee. Then we talked for ages and it ended up Dad trying to help me convince Aunty Sue to stay for lunch. Dad helped by putting his order in. Aunty Sue had a lot to eat for him. It worked though, she stayed!

Um... fast forward... Ok, about 3.45. Hannah is dying her hair again in my bathroom 'cos it didn't work right before and I'm doing my nails. Kim's birthday party is a 4 o'clock and idealy we would leave at about 3.50. Hannah had a trauma with her hair and we ran across to her house to fetch something (she lives next door but one by the way) and she finished her hair there. At about... hm... 3.55 I thought 'arrrrrrrrrgh!!!!!! Got to get a bag ready for Lianne's house!!!!! I'm gona be there 'til Tuesday and I've got nothing ready!!!!!! Arrrrrrrrgh!!!!!'

So I ran back home and threw some stuff together, Hannah was home and she fixed her hair up, and somehow we got to Kim's house by about 4.15. Yey. Kim's party was pretty fun. Not good enough to write about though except the end. Just as people were waiting outside for parents, we were all hugging each other etc and Rob hugged me, lost his balance and we both fell over. I hit my head :( on the concrete :( it hurt :( a lot. I went really dizzy and all sorts. It was... interesting. So... I was kinda pulled upright and Kim's mum came and checked I was okey. I couldn't quite walk in a straight line but I managed lol. I got my stuff from inside and got in the car (Lilly's mum was there by now and she was taking me to their house) and giggled for a bit. I had to go home first so I quickly said hi to mum and pap and told them what happened and then went off to Lilly's house.

Got there, quick chat in the living room, me and Lilly went upstairs and got ready for bed, sat in bed and talked. For ages. Lol. Eventually we decided it was getting pretty late so we went to sleep.

And that was the start of my being a sensible friend. Next time we woke up we'd have responsibility and stuff because her parents were going away in the morning until Tuesday and we were gona be all on our own...

Saturday morning!

Woohoo!!!!!!!! My birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, I woke up at 2.15. Yes I really meant morning.

It's not my fault, if you've read the previous entry then you'll know there were bound to be a load of drunk adults coming back to our house at some point. Apparently about 2.15.

So I dug out my phone from under my pillow (what? I love my phone!) and I texted mum. Then I texted her again. Then I remembered her phone was on silent. So I texted pap. Aha! I can hear him telling everyone. And we texted each other a few times and eventually I asked if i could come outside. Now Uncle Will had been sat on the back door step (and if you remember, I was in the tent in the back garden) and as I was texting pap, he joined Uncle Will on the step. When I texted him asking if I could come and say hi, he told Uncle Will who called lovingly to me 'No you can't. If you do I'll put your head in a bucket of water. Until the bubbles stop.' I don't think he meant it...

Anyway, I stuck my head out from under the tent door as Aunty Sarah came outside. She saw me and said 'is that Eleanor?' She was told no, it's Rosie. She then said to pap, 'she'll be 16 tomorrow!' and pap said, 'she is 16, it is tomorrow.' So Aunty Sarah ran across to me and dragged me out the tent but I said, 'no, I can't come out because Uncle Will will drown me!' Aunty Sarah said 'no he wont, come on!' and dragged me inside.

Everyone sang Happy Birthday :D and I got to open my prezzies at stupid o'clock :D yey. It was so fun. I got some really ace things. Including...... A HUGE BADGE THAT SAID 16 ON IT WHICH I REALLY WANTED!!!!! YEY!!!!!!!!!! Ahem... thanks Dad.

And all sorts of other wonderful stuff which I may talk about some other time but right now I really can't be bothered because I'd have to go into BIG detail.

So went back to bed at 3. Dan had woken up so I talked to him for a little bit, stuck my iPod on Bruce Springsteen and went back to sleep.

(There's still more to be added later!!! I've got to get all the way through to Tuesday yet!!!)

Friday

There was a ball Friday night and my mother rounded up a load of friends to go with her and pap. Most of them live on our street but some don't and the ones who don't, stayed at our house. That's Aunty Sarah and Uncle Will, Jo and Andy and Aunty Sue. Aunty Sarah and Uncle Will brought my cousins, Eleanor and Charlotte, with them and I babysat them and my brother (Dan). That was fun. Hm.

Mum told me to get tea ready for us four for half 6 'because that's when they'll get here'. So they got here at about 6.45 by which time I had turned to oven off so I wouldn't burn the pizza. When they got here I gave everyone a chance to say hi etc before I put the oven back on to reheat the pizza and then I figured 5 mins would do it. So I forgot about it and burnt it. Ah well, it was still edible. Mostly. Just before we started eating all 'them lot' went out down to 'Ye Olde Bell' (where the ball was) so from then on... I was on my own...

Did I mention that Charlotte is 6, Eleanor is 8 and Dan is 11? Ah good, I didn't think so. So yeah, they're old enough to be clever enough and young enough to be annoying enough. Fun(!) Nah I love them really.

So... yes. We got through tea. As we were finishing my friend Hannah came round because we were gona play at dying her hair at some point. So I got Dan to clear the table and me and Hannah went upstairs.

5 mins later...

'Rose!' (That's Dan)

'What?'

'I dropped my bottle and it smashed.'

'Ah. Um... Well don't let anyone outside' (we ate outside) 'and I'll be there in a minute to sort it out...'

So I sorted out Hannah to a point where I could leave her for a bit and I went downstairs to sort out the glass. He made quite a good job of it. I swept up what I could and banned them from that part of the garden. They carried on playing and I went back to Hannah.

5 mins later...

Arrrgh!!! They need to get ready for bed (I'll point out now that we were gona sleep in a tent).

'Hannah, can you manage for a little bit??'

'Yeah, sure.'

Run downstairs... locate little people, tell them to get ready for bed, tell them again to get ready for bed, 'Daniel if you don't turn that computer off I'll take away the power lead' (a better threat than it sounds, the battery's dead on this silly machine), you know, that kinda thing. Then I had to organise the tent because she wants to go there and she wants to be next to Dan and I have to be in the middle because 'then we both get to go next to you', oh wow thanks. Ahem... Note enthusiasm, I thought I'd point it out because it's not all that easy to see...

Anyway... back to Hannah.

Who is doing really well considering. I helped her for a bit then went back down to put everyone back in the tent. Oh wait.. hang on... oh gods, they've not cleaned their teeth... Ok, everyone back upstairs. Clean teeth, wash faces, go back into the tent. It's about 10.00 by now by the way.

Back to Hannah. Again. Who has nearly finished. I have helped her a bit. Just perhaps not as well as I could have... I managed to stay until she was finished this time then she had to go home. I let her out then went back up to sort out my bathroom. My shower had quite a lot of hair dye in it... As I was cleaning it I heard little feet come upstairs. Looked out my room. Eleanor was just joining Dan and Charlotte in Dan's room.

'Ahem... What are you doing??'

'We're getting books to read in case we wake up in the night and can't sleep.'

'Go to bed!!'

'But I like to read before I go to sleep.'

*Sigh* (I'm too soft) 'Fine ONE book each, now back to the tent! I'll come down in a few minutes to tell you to stop reading.'

And back down to the tent.

Finished in my bathroom. Came downstairs to start sorting out the house. Started sorting out the house. It was basically the living room, dining room and kitchen which needed... attention. Little people had attacked the living room, big people had attacked the dining room and EVERYONE had attacked the kitchen. So I started in the living room, then went through to the dining room, then left the horrible kitchen 'til last.

Somepoint through that, I went through to the tent to get changed and tell them 3 to go to sleep. And I got stuck in some wonderful conversation which I wont traumastise you with. I'm thinking it's about 11 o'clock by now.

Back in the house. Started on the kitchen.

Back to the tent.

'The door is open and I can hear you, you know.'

'Oh.'

'Go to sleep.'

Back in the house.

Back to sorting the kitchen.

I finished about quarter to 12. Went out to the tent. They're asleep!!!!!!!!!!! Fell over. Texted mum and pap essential points (don't go near the table, there's glass, etc). Slept.

(Don't worry, there's more to come...)
