AAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Subtle, yeah? The title I mean. I didn't know what to put 'cos it could be 'YEY!!!!!!!!! Everything's ace!!!!!!!' Or it could be 'OH MY GODS! I have SOOOOOOO failed'.
Ok explanation.
The yey, everything's ace part is 'cos I've finished all my GCSEs and I'm FREEEEEE!!! :D Which is kinda snazzy. Had my last exam today which was a Maths re-sit... ---
Funny story, Mum got a letter through the post about my re-sit (which I really, honestly thought I'd told her about - but apparently didn't) and when I came home I got the loving call of: 'Rosie!!! What's this about you re-sitting a Maths exam?!?!' She wasn't exactly what you'd call pleased. My response, 'Oh, I thought I told you about that?'
'No!'
'Oh, I got an A instead of an A star.' (Would have put a little star instead of writing 'star' but the computer gets stroppy so I can't.)
'Oh. Well... Ok then. That's alright.'
'Sorry Mum.' Lol. Well I thought it was funny.
--- ...Maths re-sit and that went pretty well. I don't get exams nerves for written papers and I'm already guaranteed an A so I can't really go wrong there. :D (big grin).
Then… the: oh my gods I’ve soooo failed thing. Out of all the possibly life changing GCSEs I’ve just done over the last few weeks the only exam that's actually worried me was my flute one. Which was also today. And the really bad thing is, apparently I was right to be worried. I did bad. Well, in my defence, I've been playing for a year and a half ish and Claire (my teacher) put me in for grade 3!! Now it's not too bad because I can do general music 'cos I do piano etc and the pieces were actually pretty easy (though I probably could have practised more... ahem...) but the scales... Well... I know no one likes scales 'cos they're evil but I really actually do like them on piano. They make sense. Flute? No idea! They're only mildly in order and the high notes are impossible to play! As proven by me. In the exam. Several times. Hm...
And my pieces went wrong. And my scales went really wrong. And the he said 'chromatic scale starting on F' and I thought something along the lines of 'HUH??? I FORGOT ABOUT THAT ONE!!!' I managed to go all the way up but half way down I got stuck and said 'Sorry, I have no idea'. Um... oops.
Lol. Well... yeah... So... It could have gone better. Mind you, it could have gone much worse. The singing part was good, the clapping the rhythm was good, describing what the examiner was playing was easy. Just the main parts that went tragically. Ah well. I'll stick to piano. It's much more fun and suprisingly easier.
p.s. If anything in this entry looks really dodgy it's 'cos my computer is bullying me and won't play properly. It's taken me half an hour (after writing it) to publish this.
